How Do I Get Stats On My Blog?

How Do I Get Stats On My Blog? The info I need is:

1. Referrers: what links people clicked to get to my blog

2. Search Engine Terms: What terms they typed in to find it

3. Top Posts: what posts on my blog got the most traffic

4. Links: What links they clicked in my blog

Note: My blog is hosted on my own domain using wordpress software.

There are a number of ways, your web hosting provider should provide some sort of statistics, nearly all of them do, just have a look through their documentation. The alternative is to see if they provide raw access logs - if you can download them then you can run your own web log analysis software on the locally, try:

http://awstats.sourceforge.net/

The above should let you discover everything apart from item 4.

To get item 4 you need to either modify your software to proxy all the links through a script which counts the clicks, or use some sort of embedded javascript. You get a bit of HTML code to paste into your blog template or in some sort of HTML widget in the sidebar. The embedded javascript technique will also let you get stats on your items 1 to 4 but it is not as accurate as getting the logs as some browsers and corporate firewalls will block the script.

There are several online providers for the javascript technique:

http://www.google.com/analytics/

http://www.mybloglog.com/

http://www.haveamint.com/

The Google one is fairly comprehensive and free. MyBlogLog is tailored specifically to bloggers but you have to pay to get the full statistics. HaveAMint is the most comprehensive out of all of them but you have to pay for it.
